COVID-19 Policies
- Every child will be screened for a temperature and asked about exposure or symptoms before entering CCCS. No children or staff will be allowed onto campus if they exhibit symptoms such as cough, runny nose, diarrhea, headaches, fever, etc. (even if they can be explained by other conditions). This is for the protection of all the children, family members and faculty. Children are not to be given fever-reducing medicines before coming to school.
- We recommend that your child have COVID tests more regularly if they will not be wearing a mask. We offer free COVID testing on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30-9:00 a.m.
- If we have two or more cases of COVID in a class, the class will close and the students and teachers must quarantine for five days. No one will be admitted back to school without a negative COVID test.
- If a child becomes ill during the day, parents will be called immediately and the child sent home. Please arrange a plan for swift pickup, should it be needed, to prevent prolonged time in the quarantine room.
- Students will be dropped off, screened and signed in outside by CCCS employees. Likewise, afternoon pickups will also be made outside.
- Parents are allowed in the School Office from 8:00 11:00 a.m. only.
- Toys and other common surfaces will be regularly cleaned throughout the day. Frequent washing of hands encouraged and directed by staff.
- All offices and classrooms will practice heightened cleaning and keep windows/doors open as much as possible for increased ventilation and exchange of fresh air.
- Tours available Monday – Friday at 11:00 a.m. No tours on rainy days.
- Per the Los Angeles County Health Department, masks will be strongly recommended, but not mandatory
- While we are following the Licensing and County Health Department guidelines, we will take additional steps if necessary to protect the health and safety of our children and staff.
